A great read as per usual. November 17, 2008 When you pick up a Patterson novel you hope are going to get a fast paced book with plenty of twists and turns and really nasty villain. He delivers here yet again. This is an ideal book for sitting by the pool or on the beach while on holidays. It won't win any major literary prizes but it sure as hell will keep you guessing and turning those pages. Nearer to 5 stars than 4.
AWESOME twists and pace!!! September 23, 2005 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you are thinking about buying this book and either aren't aware, or simply haven't read the first two books of the Alex Cross saga I urge you to buy Along Came A Spider and Kiss The Girls at once, read them and then read Jack & Jill. It is better to read them in order to keep with the full story and see how Patterson develops the characters. J&J is a cracking read!!! Very fast paced and full of plot twists that will have you frantically turning the pages. Obviously, it is also great to see how Patterson's characters are evolving as they are written brilliantly. J&J is a little different to the first two novels of the series but equally as good. Well, what are you waiting for........
Great Stuff June 3, 2005 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I thought that this book was excellent, I never put it down. I would really recommend this book to any reader. I would recommend though if you haven't read any books from the Alex Cross series before read 'Along came a spider' and then 'kiss the girls' first as underlying in all the books is Cross's relationship with his family, various women and serial killers haunting him from the past, it also makes all the other books easier to read as you already know all the background info.
Fast-paced thriller November 30, 2003 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is the first time I've read James Petterson and I wasn't disappointed! This thriller is dynamic and page-turning. The storyline is gripping and the ending is a real surprise (which is the not the case for all thrillers). It's not too crude or graphic and there is suspense which will keep you turning the pages. I totally recommend it: the constant twists to the plot make for an interesting story and the short chapters make for a fast-paced read.
Simply Irresistable! April 26, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A tag team of celebrity stalkers are the focus of the complex plot in another of Patterson's great novels. Alex Cross is assigned to protect the very important public figures with the code name "Jack and Jill". But another "Jack and Jill" are also on the loose, biding their time as to when they strike...Another all-night read, very deep, page turning stuff. Absolutely brilliant, it's Patterson at his best.
