Definitely want more August 13, 2010 Gareth Wilson - Falcata Times Blog Having not read Kresley's work before I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this offering. However what unfurled from what I can gather from friends who are fans is a tale that has been demanded for quite sometime. Whilst the plot is pretty big, I was firstly treated to a huge amount of backstory which put a lot of the events into context, however fans of the author may not be so enthused with this huge infodump. The characters are interesting, the love angle pretty intense and all in was a good bit of escapism for me as a reader. I'll more than likely look into Kresley's previous offerings when I get a bit more time.
It's got everything. May 10, 2010 K. Regan (West Sussex, England) Some romances are just jam packed with sex with little thought to the storyline. Kresley Cole is different. This book weaves such a good tale and has such enthralling characters that the love scenes are just that much more believable and incredible. What an adventure. Garreth, the Lykae is so sexy. He represents all that is primal and male. Meow! Lucia is a wonderfully independent and troubled heroine. The tension between the two is palpable from the start and there is never a dull moment. Really well written dialogue and all around brilliant book. Can't wait to read the next.
Gripping Stuff May 6, 2010 Sheena Adkins (Telford, England) Once again Kresley Cole has written an exellent book that you just can not put down untill you have reached the end, you already know of the characters from previous books & this makes the read even better.
a must read April 7, 2010 Av (london,UK) This book is a heart stopper! Once again Kresley Cole has done what I believe no other paranormal author can do. I really felt like I was there with both Garreth Macrieve and Lucia Archer. Lucia really played with her lykae like a child would play with her toys but this time she really wanted Garreth but there were quite a few obstacles her way. At least we could see Gareths version of events that went on whilst his brother Lachlain was imprisoned. Do not miss this book. It puts everything in perspective with the Macrieve family... the sexy scenes are hot hot hot!!
More than 4*,just a bit less than 5* March 27, 2010 Marielle Altimeter (Horsham, W.Sussex, U.K.) I don't give 5* that's why it's on the 4.
What can I say, just that Ms Cole is back on form, thank goodness. For I was most disappointed with her last two offerings.
If you are new to the 'Immortal after dark' series I seriously recommend that you read the first few books just so you get the picture.
In this book it was lovely that we get to know a bit of what is happening to Lachlain and Bowen and their mates. They make me laugh as well as wished that I've got someone that have my happiness in their minds all the time. I guess that's why I like the series.
Can't wait for the next book.
