Excellent survey on language attitudes July 2, 2007
A fundamental book for the study of language attitudes, especially for the attitudes towards bilngualism. It contains a short introduction to theory and a review of the most famous studies in this field. The survey is about the attitudes towards Welsh and English. The data are analysed through multivariational models (cluster analysis, factor analysis): this is very important, because many studies on language attitudes don't use these models, which are very useful to take account of the relationships among social variables and language varieties.
