| Customer Reviews:
Nice, but could be even better November 27, 2008 The cards are flimsy and the pictures started to peel off at the corners pretty much as soon as I unpacked them which is a shame as they are most attractive. This is rather noticable as the borders are dark and the pale cardboard underneath does detract from their lovely appearance. Also bear in mind the major arcana are 'pip' cards; that is to say you only get a picture of two cups or three swords rather than a full illustration that expresses the meaning of the cards. This is not made clear on the packaging and could be a disappointment for some. A very good value attractive package though for the price, with a decent book - much better than the standard little white book you receive with many packs. The reverse of the cards also look nice. The major arcana are beautiful to look at and are very nice to work with. With a little more effort these could have been even better - stunning maybe. However, I would still recommend.
Absolutely beautiful tarot! October 17, 2008 I'm not a great fan of tarot, but this one that stands out from the rest, big time!
A simple, easy to follow explanation of the basics, but with some fantastic background material about the tarot, what the symbols mean, and how we arrived at today's tarot. There's something in this one for the beginner, and like me, the not so beginner.
The card illustations are fantastic, and nice large cards too. Easy to handle and easy to read. The imagery is a return to the Sforza-Visconti tarot, with some nice new twists.
Definitely one for your friends now to tarot, and a great one for those of us who want a new deck with an older, more comfortable feel.
