3 out of 5 stars Leaves many unanswered questions   May 16, 2008

This book was undoubtedly a groundbreaker, as it introduced many people to the concept of crystal skulls. It is written in the style of a real life detective story, and initially approaches the subject from a scientific angle. It finishes with the authors turning to spirituality for the answers, relying heavily on the wisdom of various Native American Elders. The reader though has to wade through 500 pages before any firm conclusions are drawn. The book fails to answer the most basic questions of what the skulls represent and how they can help mankind. This leaves the reader with more questions than answers. It is also unfortunate that the authors interview only American researchers, when there is so much more that could have been said - there are many researchers and crystal skull guardians in the UK, who live and work with these fascinating objects as part of their everyday lives, the addition of this material would have added so much more to this book, as British and American researchers have completely different ideas as to what the skulls are about.

Buy this wonderful book - it is the business.
Everything you ever wanted to know about the
real-life crystal skulls, and although it's
a factual book it reads just like a real-life
Indiana Jones adventure!

5 out of 5 stars Fascinating ! Left me breathless!   October 6, 2002

After reading this book my spiritual life really changed, for the better. This book gave me an answer to all my questions about other dimensions; life after death; Atlantis; the Mayan ,Aztec and Native american cultures. The knowledge in this book is of great importance to everyone, no matter what religion you are nor what culture you're from. All this knowledge is written in easy and interesting way. The authors also look at the different questions that come up, from different perspectives.

The last thing that I will say is BUY THIS BOOK ! YOU DEFINITELY WON'T REGRET IT !

5 out of 5 stars A FASCINATING AND INSPIRING READ   June 28, 2001

I have read this book several tmes and will definitly read it again. Each time I start it with the same level of intreague and excitment and when I begrudgingly turn the last page I come away with a sense that I 'get' something about life that I failed to see before.

Thomas and Morton take you on an epic journey of the past , present and most importantly to this book the future. It reveals many aspects of the lives and prophecies of those from the ancient world in their quest to make some sense of the mysteries behind the skulls. Concerntrating on the indeginous central Americans but including everything from Atlantis to Egypt.

Its a book with something for every one, history, philosophy, religion but has all the trappings of a good suspense novel.

Although nothing definate is proved it achieves its aim to fascinate and leaves you wanting more. To revoke the authors for not reaching anything conclusive is to undermine their aim and miss the point of the book.

This story is urging us to look at the way we treat our planet and each other and captivates the imagination leavindg you ultimatly inspired. Read it!
