Gabrielle Collison has written a great buying guide here. We had already gone through a property purchase before this book was published.............. wish she's written it two years earlier!

Gabielle Collison's book has been an invaluable asset whilst property hunting in Portugal. It contains clear and easy to read advice that even I can understand. If Portugal is the Country you want to invest in, then this is the book to buy!

Gabrielle Collison's book is a must have item for anyone looking at purchasing property in Portugal. The Author has a great understanding of the intricacies involved in locating and buying property in Portugal, The book clearly guides the reader through the process avoiding pitfalls.
We are a registered Estate Agency in Portugal and we are seeing an increasing number of clients using Gabrielle's book as an esential tool for house hunting, which can only be a good thing.

Many people (myself included!) come to Portugal looking for property with 'rose tinted spectacles'. I wish I'd had this book 4 years ago when I bought my first home in Portugal. I'd have saved myself a lot of grief and financial pain!
Before you decide on any property in Portugal, READ THIS BOOK FIRST!!!!

This is a very good, well written book which will help those who are looking to move to Portugal or to buy a holiday home in Portugal.
It gives clear, concise advice and suggestions to help you through the minefield of Portuguese bureaucracy and all the problems that can arise with local government authorities.
This will help whether you are thinking of buying or if you already have bought as there are always projects which will need planning and local laws and regulations to be sorted out.
Great read.
