More serious but just as fun March 21, 2006 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Unlike the sister book on the L word this one has no pictures whatsoever. Instead it is a series of articles by academics, and journalists on the phenomenon that is the L word. Again a good book to dip in and out of its interesting to read about the L word in context of the political climate that we're in. Its also important to understand the debates about visability and invisability of lesbianism. There is an interesting article on whether the L word has taken off in the UK or not one of the major problems with that is not everyone has cable/sky and therefore has to wait for the DVD's to se it! Having said that its a good enjoyable read and has interviews with the actresses and links to various fansites.
