This is an excellent photocopiable resource for anyone looking for comprehension exercises which go beyond the information retrieval level. The units support the Literacy strategy closely and cover many of the skills needed for SATS, such as expressing opinions. Each text is quite lengthy (up to 2 A4 pages) and every unit provides plenty to keep children busy. Activities can be split into two sessions. The only downside is that each unit is four pages long! We also use the Year 3, 5 and 6 levels of this scheme and are very pleased with all of them.
