Customer Reviews:
Great book, great storyline, a keeper..slight spoiler January 8, 2009 I tend to always read Anya Bast, but she is not an auto-buy, mainly because I found the female lead in her 2nd Witch series unlikeable. In this one, I expected to find a hardened female lead, and an Alpha male, as well as frequent and graphic sex, and all of these were included, but on top, there was a decent storyline. It explained why the female lead was so embittered, yet she was not unreceptive to the idea of falling in love, even though initially she was having to pretend to be the male lead's lover undercover. Even the baddy was nice in the end, and I felt sympathy with him and his lady, who was left alone when he died, a hero. I would have kept it, but it cost me so much that I had to sell it at half price to try to recoup some monies. A great tale, and just what AB needed to make me into an auto-buyer!
