"Kiss of Fury"; the sequel to the highly recommended "Kiss of Fire", is equally fast paced and passionate with an explosive plot line that grabs your attention.
Donovan, the next Pyr (dragon shape shifter) to meet his destined mate; an event signalled by the Firestorm, is determined to thwart destiny by not fathering a son with this unknown woman or offer any permanent commitment. Yet the Firestorm proves difficult to ignore and his destined mate even more so; a human woman who courageously faces her fears and captures his heart.
Alexandra Madison (Alex) and her partner Mark have succeeded in their quest to produce a completely eco friendly car; however there are those that wish this knowledge destroyed. Alex thinks she may be mad when she witnesses dragons tear her partner apart and wreck the Green Machine prototype they have worked so hard on, yet she suddenly finds herself on the run; first hunted by Slayers (evil dragon shape shifters) before finding safety and protection with the Pyr.
Neither Alex nor Donovan can resist the heat of their Firestorm or their deepening emotional bond, despite their initial resistance to the inevitable conception that will take place. Yet there is plenty afoot to keep them occupied than just their fierce attraction to each other as the Slayers battle the Pyr and attempt to sabotage Alex's attempt to recreate the Green Machine. Familiar enemies make an appearance wielding ancient, evil magic, whilst the Pyr themselves dabble with the stuff of dragon legends and meet a new ally; one who will undoubtedly be given his own book later in this series (something I highly anticipate considering who his destined mate may be). I now very much look forward to the paperback release of book 3 in this series. "Kiss of Fate"; featuring Erik's Firestorm is scheduled for publication in Feb 09.
