 A great read! October 26, 2008
This book is a fantastic, gripping tale of a young girl named Eona disguising herself as a boy (Eon) in order to become a dragoneye, a person linked with a dragon and able to control magic and elements to help the planet.
When she is chosen and thrust into a world where she is now as good as Royalty, young Eon must learn who to trust and to harness her powers to help the good and make sure no-one finds out she is a woman.
When Lord Ido, head Dragoneye starts to use his magic to cause uproar and danger, Eon must fight back to protect the whole Empire.
This book had me gripped from page one, and i finished it in one night, could not put it down, a definite recommended read!!!
Also: I work in a library and was given some promotional items for a book called 'Eon: Rise of the Dragneye' i read an extract and got hooked but was disappointed to know it wasn't released until January, HOWEVER, i saw this book 'The Two Pearls of Wisdom' on the new book shelf and noticed it was the same author so thought i would try it but when i read the blurb and the first few pages i realised this was the same book under a different name and cover. Not sure i apporove of double publicity and release - this version for adults and another coming out for children in January, but it is still a magnificient book.
Can't wait for part two of the story, come to love some of the characters.

If you love your martial arts or books connected to the mystical east, then this is a tale that's going to be a real treat for you. Blending ancient myth with mystism, martial prowess with political intrigue and characters that literally just jump off the page into your imagination and you've got one cracker of a book to enjoy. Full of thrills and twists, with emotional aspects to form the cast along with beautifully painted scenery and you can't go far wrong. To sum up, lets just say we've tipped you the nod on this tale.
