I am not normally a big fan of collections but I enjoyed the mix of authors. Readers will be interested in Mercedes novella at the end of the book, it fills in a gap that many wondered about - how Talia became a Sun Priest. Some of the stories I would like to see as fully fleshed novels there were some interesting ideas there.

A great collection of stories, most by other writers, but all fit in with the "real" Valdemar. The stories coveer a wide range of history. Most importantly, we find out at last how Talia became a Sunpriest!
