this is a great book. i was glued to the book, and just couldn't stop reading it until i finished reading the book. i was a realms fan, but i think the book is self explanatory.
this is one of those world shaking books, with presumably lasting repercussions in the world of dungeons and dragons, and yet, the writer writes the story in such a way that we don't get the feeling that the characters are almightly and invincible.
all in all a great read. i look forward to the final installment. A possible drawback may be that the book doesn't develop certain characters enough, so that we just wonder what their part is, apart from just being there. but hopefully, such loose ends will be addressed somewhat in the final book.
