Excellent book , well worth the money May 2, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the novice or expert, the text is designed to be a quick clinical reference. If you are presented with a lizard that is bleeding in the gingiva, turn to the differential chapter on lizard diseases. Then, look up the oral cavity. Look up petechia. You will be presented with five possibilities, you should be able to determine a diagnosis, or at least formulate a diagnostic plan. With a minor amount of effort, this book should be able to get you through most any clinical challenge. The more you use this reference, the more familiar you will be with it. Within a short time, the material will be committed to memory, and your clinical expertise will escalate. As the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Having all of these pictures is a tremendous asset in clarifying difficult points.
Excellent Book for Vets and Herpetologists alike! May 30, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a worthwhile reference manual for veterinarians and herpetologists alike. It is invaluable for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of illness and conditions relating to reptiles. I have found it useful on a few occasions now to check knowledge of certain conditions relating to reptiles.
