from the writer of the world famous book and tv series ROOTS. this is the researched storey of haley's own decendants struggle of an african family trying to survive in anti african America .
it is one of the most moving books I have ever read. The story spans generations of the family showing how american attitudes slowly began to change toward acceptance of black americans.This book litrally had me in tears on an emotional roller coaster of a read.
