Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Magick Works Reviewed by Pete Carroll   November 24, 2008
Britain's most impish and irrepressible young Psychonaut has assembled another impressively eclectic collection of essays in this book. I say 'young' with a caveat; Julian always looks half of his calendar age, when will he write a book on that secret I wonder? Perhaps it's all in the mind, he has obviously kept himself very mentally and metaphysically active and involved with just about every esoteric counter cultural current going. Thus we get a whirlwind tour of Tantra, Chemognosis, Magic and Magick, Wicca, Paganism, Druidism, Permaculture, Psychogeography, Mystic Parenthood, Alternative Politics, The Santo Diame Ayahuasca Cult, and of course, Chaos Magic.

As an active participant in all of these traditions he conveys an infectious enthusiasm for all the wonders and ecstasies of his experiences.

The book reads like a routes map for those on the high and dangerous roads to the source of meaning itself.
His paeans and panegyrics to hallucinogens and entheogens may raise a few eyebrows, but he seems to have thrived on copious amounts of them.

So keep the records coming Julian, if you blow yourself up or achieve final Samadhi we need to know how.

Pete Carroll.
