Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Orben is a smart man   January 30, 2008
Robert Orben is famous for his one-liners, which every self-respecting speechwriter hoards. Since Orben was also part of Gerald Ford's speechwriting team, he also has impressive political credentials. Along with Bob Monkhouse's book, Complete Speaker's Handbook, I tend to reach for this book every day when I have to write something amusing for a birthday, retirement or a golf dinner.

There is lots of good advice for a speechwriter, and he gives plenty of material for inspiration on a dull day.
