How coaching works December 8, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
With all the books available on coaching it was a wonder to know what another book could bring to the subject. But 'How Coaching Works' manages to provide an overview of the different methods of coaching that shows clearly their common elements and makes it clear what is necessary to achieve results for the coachee. The word 'synthesis' comes to mind as this book is all embracing and explains the past and present of coaching and makes educated predictions about the future of coaching. Another word that comes to mind is 'pragmatic' as this book is easy to read and understand, and the examples are all evidence based rather than theoretical. This is valuable reading no matter what your interest in coaching is, from the beginner to the expert.
