Would make a great present November 5, 2008
For someone who may not know the Dorset coastline very well, Adam Burton's book is a glorious introduction with just enough text to orientate the viewer for a visit in person. Armchair exploring with this book is a visual feast as stripped of most signs of human interference the landscape is shown in it's stunning variety. Adam Burton captures the contrast of textures so keenly that you can almost taste the tang of sea on moss on rock.
I would definitely recommend this book not only for it's beautiful showcasing of Dorset, but as a collection of amazing photographs in itself.
Would make a great present- a passport to the sea from your armchair.

What a wonderful book! Adam has captured everything that is so special about the Dorset coast. His photographs are not just images on a page...they are both creative and inspirational, and provoke such feeling.

Having been to see Adam Burton's work at his exhibitions in Dorset, my family are thrilled to have a whole collection of his photos in this book. Most weekends we go walking on the south-west coastal path which Adam has photographed beautifully!
