I saw him on More4 in a documentary called "garbage warrior" and he had a brilliant tale to tell.... http://www.garbagewarrior.com/ so I imagine his books are just as good, this will be my first.

As the name suggests, this is the first in a series of 3 exquisitely illustrated books. Housing design that is both 'sustainable' and economically viable is of crucial importance given the state of today's society - few people can afford good housing, and the earth itself can only afford a few houses more. Earthships provide a solution for both of these issues, providing healthy, clean homes that are easy on the pocket and the planet. On top of this, the houses produced are also immensely aesthetically pleasing, looking akin to homes more commonly found in fairytales. I strongly recommend this book as a starter for anyone willing to take responsibility for their own enviromental impact.
