This was a very nice book to read. The pictures were excellent, and the quality of the book itself was first class. However, very few of the pictures were taken on a digital camera, in fact nearly all were taken on expensive SLR and large format cameras. If you have recently purchased a digital camera and want to see what can be acheived with this new technology, then this is not the book for that purpose.

Tom's lucid, elegant prose explains the most complicated concepts painlessly and interestingly. Beautifully illustrated with the author's remarkable photographs, this book is comprehensive, witty, and an invaluable reference work for beginners and advanced digital artists alike. It also inspires with a selection of the work of Sandy Gardner.
