VERY VERY badly printed - UNACCEPTABLE November 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not withstanding the merits of the book a source book of poses for a model photgraphic model or photgrapher it is in essence a book of photographs. The edition I purchased was printed by "Lightning Source UK Ltd", they should hang their head in shame ... I have a 15 year old photcopier that can copy black and white photographs better than this. The paper is too thin, the images are streaky and the screen too coarse... you get better picture reproduction in a newspaper and this is a book of photographs.
Not for Everyone March 13, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
As a photographer, I'm of the opinion that this book may be of some use to models-in-training but otherwise it's of limited relevance. It contains numerous black-and-white pictures of the same lingerie-clad young lady in a sequence of static poses but with no supporting text. It would be much more useful if there was some rationale for each pose (or, at least, each 'set' of poses) to illustrate the intent. As I say, for models it may prove useful as an aid to practice in front of a full-length mirror. At 15, I think most people would find better value elsewhere, though.

Great little book for giving a clear picture to the model of the pose the photographer wants to create, I also find it very usefull in deciding what sort of lighting setup to start with.
