I'm a big fan of Idina's and this album has been so underrated. Her songwriting skills are excellent and her voice just goes without saying. She is one of the few Musical Theatre stars who can make her solo music so far away from Musical Theatre, it's superb. This album has everything from ballads, upbeat songs to rocky songs. There isn't a song I dislike on this album! If you like this you'll certainly like her second album 'Here'. Look out for her 3rd album being released in Autumn sometime xD Here's hoping she can tour the UK with it.

If there ever was an album that has been overlooked and underrated...it's this one. Idina's songwriting skills would probably surprise a lot of 'non-fans', as she proves she's not just a girl with a pretty face. Idina is an extremely talented singer/songwriter, and this is shown in her work. There are some very standout ballad type songs (Still i can't be still, Heart on my sleeve).. and some more up beat stuff (Minuet, Planet Z). Idina takes risks that people wouldn't even think about. You Will not be disappointed, and if you love this song you should definitely buy 'Here' too. Don't forget to look out for Idina's 3rd album later this year :)

I love this CD.
I first heard Idina on the broadway cast recording of Wicked and loved her voice. This CD is new, experimental and shows a completely different side of Idina. Far from musical theatre.
My personal favourites on this CD are Minuet and Heart on your sleeve.
Even if you've never heard of Idina Menzel (why ever not?) the lyrics and sounds are amazing.
BUY IT! It won't be a let down and perfect for any Idina fan.

I 1st heard of Idina Menzel, through my passion for the musical 'Wicked' in which Idina, plays the part of Elpheba. On the original Broadway cast CD, she stands out with her stunning voice, & I quickly have become a fan of hers.
I bought this CD, for the quality of her voice, & had little idea of what sort of style, or sound it may be.
Some of the songs have a quirky/experimental sound, & would be hard to pin down to any particular style of music. Other songs, & the majority of, reminded me very much of Alanis Morrisette, & that in my opinion seems to be quite an influenece on this album.
On the first listen, it seemed odd/strange...but the style, warmth, & sheer quality Of Idina Menzel, shines through. The songs certainly grow on you with every listen.
